hello, here is my problem :
i have buy a Delta Radio (2008) on Ebay with Quadlock and Fakra connectors.
But my California Trendline (2005) have an ISO connector.
I connect power and Delta works but i don't have all functions : variable light, auto on/off...

I read this :

I find the T16b connector but there's nothing on pin 11 and pin 12 (manual clima)
So, is it possible to connect Can-bus to Delta and where is the right connector ?
May be California trendline have not can-bus ?

Best regards, Franck.

Hallo,
i have maybe simillar trouble. Got T5GP transporter 2009 with no radio from factory. But dealer had installed there some SONY on ISO connectors. Now i bought RCD510 with QuadLock and intercable (QL-ISO), but radio doesnt work. The CD drive makes noise, but display is dark.
On gray ISO are connected pins
1 - orange w. gray strip - CAN BUS high/+ (?)
2 - red w. blue strip - (dont know)
3 - orange w. green strip - CAN BUS low/- (?)
4 - thick blue - +12V nonstop (?)
5 - antenna power
7 - red w. strip - switched +12V (?)
8 - brown - ground (sicher! :) )

but these i need to convert those to RCD510 pins 12-16, which are due diagram on the cover of radio required like:
16 - SAFE/Code - big unknown to me, may be ISO nr. 2 pin ?
15 - +12V - it is ISO nr. 4 pin (+12V nonstop ?)
12 - ground - it is easy, it is nr. 8 on ISO - brown
10 - CAN BUS minus - probably ISO nr. 3 pin, guess
9 - CAN BUS plus - probably ISO nr. 1 pin

please help, many thanks!

Hi

1 - orange w. gray strip - CAN BUS high/+ (?)
3 - orange w. green strip - CAN BUS low/- (?)

"Normally" there ar NO can bus cables in the ISO connector
You need to "fetch" them e.g. from the KI
For the layout of the ISO Connector see also here
Radioadapter

I am sure there is a native english site that shows that too :)

Hallo Max,
thank You for Your answer. I´m affraid that You are right. That is probably the worse case, the dealer connected the radio on some unusual schema known just to him.
Sorry for english post in german sites, but i am quite desperate. Local guys gave me no advice and my german is quite poor. But i am sure that as long as Germans produce these unique cars they know them best. That is why i posted this forum. Have to improve my German, because this is great source of knowledge fot T5.

p.s. Kann bischen deutsch schreiben, aber kann es jemand lesen? :)

Hi

Actually since he connected a SONY receiver he must have used
the "standard" ISO layout.

1. SCV oder frei (in)
2. Tel. Mute (in) oder frei
3. remote out oder frei
4. Dauerplus 12V (in)
5. Auto Ant. (out)
6. +12V Display (in)
7. Schaltplus (in)
8. Masse

Starting from there you should be able assign the cables to the correspondig pins.

How to get can bus cables from the KI is described in the
pdf document that has been linked above

Hallo,
thank You very much for Your help. Issue already almost solved. Trouble was QL pin nr. 16 - SAFE/Code, which is in fact +12V nonstop. It still doesnt work smoothly, must enter pin everytime carkey plugged in, but radio plays and work well.
Many thanks once more.
